Rowing Classes
2025 Rowing Classes are ready for registration! Here’s how it works:
1. Interested rowers choose one or more of the following seven-week rowing class sessions:
June 9 - July 27 / July 28 - September 14 / September 15 - November 3
Each session offers the following on-water weekly schedule:
Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Saturdays & Sundays 8:00 - 10:00 a.m.
2. Register and pay fees based on the frequency of your visits during your chosen seven-week session(s):
1 day/week: $250 per session
2 days/week: $350 per session
Unlimited rows/week: $450 per session
Learn/inquire about boat storage and rental options and rates at the Genesee Waterways Center Boathouse at 149 Elmwood Avenue in Rochester.
The Genesee Waterways Center offers many opportunities to experience the sport of rowing, from March through November on the Genesee River and Erie Canal. Plus, we host a free LEARN TO ROW Day each year— this year, on Saturday, June 7. See info right here!
We offer learn to row classes (see below!) and programming for those new to the sport, along with recreational and competitive options for people with rowing experience (to include hosting and participating in regattas).
We offer rowing shell rental for experienced rowers; and storage options for rowers with their own craft.
